    What are brand guidelines?

    Brand guidelines (sometimes called a brand book or style guide) are a set of rules that keep your brand consistent. They define your logo lockups, colour palettes, typography, spacing, and tone of voice. Whether you’re designing in-house or briefing another designer, guidelines ensure your brand looks and sounds the same everywhere: on your website, in Hastings high-street signage, on social, and in print.

    We deliver guidelines as a clear, usable document and source files so you and any future collaborators can apply your brand correctly. Many of our logo design projects include a compact set of guidelines; full identity projects include full brand guidelines as standard.

    Brand identity vs logo: what’s the difference?

    A logo is a single mark or wordmark that identifies your business: the symbol or name people see on your shop front, website, or van. A brand identity is the full system: logo plus colours, typefaces, imagery style, and voice. Think of the logo as the flag and the identity as the whole country: one is part of the other.

    We offer both. You might only need a professional logo and a simple one-page guide. Or you might want a full identity with guidelines, templates, and UI design for your website. We’ll recommend what fits your goals and budget after a quick chat.
